Jeanette Clarke

Hailing from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, and later calling Kenya and South Africa home, I embarked on an incredible journey in 1960 that eventually led me across the Atlantic to settle in Vermont, USA, in 1994. What an exhilarating adventure it has been, culminating in my proud citizenship of this great nation.

My familial roots are deeply intertwined with the artistry of wedding cake design. For over four decades, my grandmother and mother adorned celebrations in South Africa with their exquisite creations. It was witnessing my mother craft my daughter's wedding cake in 1996 that ignited my desire to embrace our family tradition. Drawing upon our innate artistic talents, I delved into the world of sugar flowers and elegant cake design.

From the delicate petals of sugar roses to the intricate allure of mini orchids, I found myself captivated by the process. Over the years, I honed my craft, channeling my passion into crafting wedding cakes that tell stories of love and joy. From enchanting New England ceremonies to the sunny shores of Wilmington, North Carolina, I have had the privilege of bringing dreams to life through my creations.
